About the Role
Join a close-knit legal team handling general defense litigation, primarily premises liability. This role offers hands-on mentorship and the opportunity to manage cases from inception through resolution.
What You'll Do
Manage a full caseload of general defense litigation matters from intake through resolution.
Conduct and defend depositions.
Appear in court and represent clients at mediations and settlement conferences.
Work with senior attorneys on trial preparation, legal strategy, and client communications.
Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and case strategy documents.
What We're Looking For
Two to seven years of law firm experience handling a full caseload in defense litigation.
J.D. from an accredited law school and active admission to the New York bar.
Experience appearing before judges, attending court conferences, and navigating New York City and Long Island courts.
Deposition experience, including conducting and defending depositions.
Background in premises liability or general negligence is helpful.
Interest in a collaborative, mentorship-focused environment and long-term professional growth.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range: $125,000 to $165,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Location
Hybrid role based in New York City, New York, with in-office work during onboarding and a flexible hybrid arrangement afterward.
