About the role
You've Never Been Satisfied with "Good Enough."
You didn't get into this to manage one piece of a project. You got into it to change how the world gets built.
At Accenture Construct, that's the job. You'll help deliver the data centers, power grids, rail networks, factories and public infrastructure that keep communities moving — smarter, safer and more sustainably.
You'll work alongside people who think big and act bold: project managers, engineers, technologists and strategists who pair real-world delivery with AI. And you won't be handed a slice of it. We take on whole programs, from early strategy through construction and handover, and we stand behind how they land.
THE WORK:
THE WORK
You’ll oversee day-to-day contract administration, manage and regularly review project scopes, and ensure compliance with contract terms, project objectives, stakeholder requirements, policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. You’ll develop, manage, and track project budgets; review contractor proposals and pay applications; and review and negotiate change orders and claims to support accurate, timely financial reporting and documentation. You’ll establish and maintain project schedules, align the team to milestone deadlines and completion dates, manage critical-path tasks, mitigate delays, and establish recovery schedules when needed. You’ll manage construction documentation and processes, including bidding, startup and closeout, contractual obligations, submittals, RFIs, change management, pay applications, and project reporting. You’ll communicate project updates to clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams, including detailed reporting on project progress, budget status, and potential risks or delays. You’ll develop and implement project management policies, procedures, and workflows to improve efficiency, standardize processes, and support organizational and regulatory requirements. You’ll identify and mitigate project risks related to cost, schedule, and quality, while providing leadership and technical guidance to project staff, design firms, consultants, and contractors. You’ll manage project closeout, including deliverables and documentation, punch lists, final payments, issue resolution, and submission of final reports and records to stakeholders.HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture and/or engineering
- 10+ years of experience in overseeing and managing all phases of higher education institution programs/projects
- 10+ years of experience in preconstruction, construction and closeout phases with the ability to problem solve, interpret information and draw conclusions to make decisions
- The ability to stand, sit and walk throughout the day; bend, crawl, climb (ladders, stairs, hills, etc.) and reach overhead; ability to lift 40 pounds or more and to comply with personal protective equipment requirements and to endure extreme physical temperatures as well as experience loud noises and fumes on project sites
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
- OSHA 30 Hour Safety Training
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM) and/or PMP certificate
- Strong written, verbal communication and computer skills.
- Experience with CM software, Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Adobe, etc.
WORK LOCATION:
Site Specific: Montgomery County, MD
Every role here has some in-person time — for collaboration, for learning, and because capital projects happen in physical places. We'll be as flexible as we can around how you make that work.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU
- The biggest builds going. Hyperscale data centers, grid and generation, transit and rail, chip fabs, mines, water. If it's complex and it matters, it's on our list.
- You own the outcome. Not a workstream. Not a deliverable. Whether the program lands.
- AI that shows up on site. Program control that predicts instead of records. You'll use it, and you'll help shape it.
- Scale without the distance. More than 5,000 practitioners across the Americas, EMEA and APAC, on a team small enough that people know your name.
- Serious investment in you. Leadership development, technical upskilling and certification support.
- Work that outlasts you. People will use what you build for forty years without knowing your name. That's the point.
- Recognition that means something in this industry. Accenture Construct is ranked #6 globally in ENR's 2026 Top 50 Program Management Firms and #4 in Building Design + Construction's Top 80 Construction Management Firms for 2026.
