About the role
You've Never Been Satisfied with "Good Enough."
You didn't get into this to manage one piece of a project. You got into it to change how the world gets built.
At Accenture Construct, that's the job. You'll help deliver the data centers, power grids, rail networks, factories and public infrastructure that keep communities moving — smarter, safer and more sustainably.
You'll work alongside people who think big and act bold: project managers, engineers, technologists and strategists who pair real-world delivery with AI. And you won't be handed a slice of it. We take on whole programs, from early strategy through construction and handover, and we stand behind how they land.
THE WORK:
- You’ll provide senior-level field engineering support during active construction, including earthwork, bridge and structural elements such as viaducts, foundations, CIDH piles, retaining walls, roadway, utilities, and grade separation elements.
- You’ll review construction means and methods for compliance with plans, specifications, safety requirements, and constructability, with a particular focus on structural work and sequencing.
- You’ll assess how daily field activities affect critical path schedule, cost, risk, traffic handling, and public impacts, and support resolution of field issues, conflicts, and unforeseen conditions.
- You’ll identify potential downstream impacts early, elevate issues to the RE/CM team, and support coordination between design intent, construction execution, and contract requirements.
- You’ll assist with RFIs, submittals, structural shop drawings, change orders, and field directives, and support quantity tracking, progress verification, and pay estimate documentation.
- You’ll maintain accurate field records, daily reports, and photo documentation, and support QA/QC and verification of work in place, particularly for structural concrete, foundations, and bridge elements.
- You’ll coordinate with inspectors, surveyors, utility owners, structural engineers of record, rail agencies when applicable, and third-party stakeholders, and provide technical input during construction meetings.
- You’ll reinforce project safety expectations and support compliance with project safety plans, environmental commitments, traffic control, and public agency requirements.
WORK LOCATION:
Site Specific: Los Angeles, CA
Every role here has some in-person time — for collaboration, for learning, and because capital projects happen in physical places. We'll be as flexible as we can around how you make that work.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- 10-15 years of progressively responsible experience in construction engineering or construction management.
- 10-15 years of experience on transportation infrastructure projects with significant structures components (bridges, grade separations, retaining walls).
- 10-15 years of experience in construction sequencing, means and methods, and contract documents.
- 10-15 years of experience with construction documentation systems and standard CM tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
- Contractor experience on transportation-related projects as a field engineer, superintendent, or project manager.
- Prior experience on public-sector projects in Southern California.
- Familiarity with Caltrans-style specifications, local agency standards, and utility coordination.
- Experience supporting change management and claims avoidance.
- Direct experience with bridge construction, CIDH piles, and structural concrete.
- EIT or PE (California)
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU
- The biggest builds going. Hyperscale data centers, grid and generation, transit and rail, chip fabs, mines, water. If it's complex and it matters, it's on our list.
- You own the outcome. Not a workstream. Not a deliverable. Whether the program lands.
- AI that shows up on site. Program control that predicts instead of records. You'll use it, and you'll help shape it.
- Scale without the distance. More than 5,000 practitioners across the Americas, EMEA and APAC, on a team small enough that people know your name.
- Serious investment in you. Leadership development, technical upskilling and certification support.
- Work that outlasts you. People will use what you build for forty years without knowing your name. That's the point.
- Recognition that means something in this industry. Accenture Construct is ranked #6 globally in ENR's 2026 Top 50 Program Management Firms and #4 in Building Design + Construction's Top 80 Construction Management Firms for 2026.
